Green Cardamom

Cardamom often referred as the “Queen of Spices” because of its very pleasant aroma and taste.

It has a strong, unique taste, with an intensely aromatic, resinous fragrance.

It is a common ingredient in Indian cooking, and is often used in baking western countries.

Green cardamom is one of the most expensive spices by weight, but little is needed to impart the flavor.

Cardamom is best stored in pod form because once the seeds are exposed or ground they quickly lose their flavor.

However, high- quality ground cardamom is often more readily available and is an acceptable substitute.

The color curcumin extracted from turmeric is used as a colourant.

Dry Turmeric Finger is acknowledged for containing several essential vitamin B6, iron, potassium and manganese and fiber.

These are bright yellow in colour and have acrid aroma and bitter to taste.
