The wet material is conveyed by the belt conveyor or bucket elevator to the hopper, and then being fed into the inner cylinder (called first level dryer) through the hopper.
With the rotation of the cylinder, the material is subjected to gravity to the lower end and pass the rotating rake device which will disperse the wet and sticky coconut shell into small size.
Thus hot air contact area will be increased and the material surface will be quickly dried.
It well prevents material from sticking to the cylinder wall.
The moisture content instantly reduce during forward movement and enter into the medium drum (called second level dryer).
In this level, material forwarding trend opposite with hot air trend, which ensures the bound water will be dry.
With a rapid drying in the outer cylinder (called the third level dryer), the wetter material moves slower, and drier moves faster.
At last material will be thoroughly and uniformly reach to the drying purpose, and being discharged through belt conveyor or screw conveyor.
