    Seamless steel pipe, produced by solid round stock.

    Welded pipe, for example, ERW steel pipe or SSAW steel pipe, is manufactured by steel sheets which are rolled for use.

    So they have welded joint which causes the uneven balance for the product compared with seamless steel pipe.

    So welded pipe is less expensive than extruded, seamless pipe, but will not exhibit the same physical property characteristics, and is used mainly for low pressure applications or low-load requirements.
