I was highly skeptical of this rock sugar before actually trying it in my tea.

I thought - now really - how much better can it be than regular sugar, or even turbinado sugar, or ' Sugar in the Raw? ' Answer - it' s MUCH better - especially in delicate green and white teas.

Cane sugar imparts its own taste to the tea, even when it' s white refined sugar.

The turbinado or ' raw' sugar crystals are actually worse - as they have a definite molasses taste that ruins the tea.

This rock sugar is made from beets, and is imported from Germany.

It has a very clean, sweet taste which does not alter the taste of the tea.

There is no substitute in my opinion for fine tea, if you like it sweetened.

I' m now a believer.

Worth the price.
