One way to get high efficiencies out of a solar power inverter system

would be a hybrid system: a high-temperature (which tends to push out

Si) triple-junction cell (efficiencies >30% are emerging), partially

protected by a holographic filter (that diverts the infrared frequencies

laterally around the cell) bakced up by the high-temperature end of a

rankine or Stirling cycle (from which you may be able to extract an

additional 10-15% efficiency).

A turbine has an efficiency of 30% in the real world (higher values require higher temperature deltas).

If you have a solar power inverter system that is 60% efficient -> you get 18% out.

As you may know electricity generation is a sum of efficiencies and 18% is theory.

Practice is away below that.

CSP may be cheaper than PV or CPV regarding LCOE, but it not based on the overall efficiency.
