    Disc bridge bearing features its lower profile comparing with pot

    bearings owning a thicker confined elastomer, a pot and a piston. It is

    capable to accommodate rotations by deformations of urethane disc, which

    enables the bearing to provide reliable earthquake resistance to

    buildings or bridges.

    Polyurethane disc The polyurethane disc is excellent in supporting superstructures and allowing unidirectional or multidirectional rotations. Not only does the disc features allowable bearing stress about 2.3 times higher than traditional elastomeric bearings, but also has high resistance to chemical, corrosion, ozone and various environmental influences.

    Threaded shear pin The shear pin, inserted into the middle of plate of polyurethane disc, transmits horizontal shear force between upper and bottom plates.

    Limiting ring Urethane disc can accommodate rotations in any direction without lift- off, but it may extrude and exhibit “creep” under high vertical load over time. Thereby, the limiting rings are provided to avoid the extrusion and deformation of the urethane disc.

    Ideal for applications where anticipated rotations of bearings are no more than 0.03 radians.
