20--Light Control Panel and Alarms (OB1985124) (2008-02-19)

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. A written solicitation will be issued. The
Government anticipat es awarding a contract for a Light Control Panel and Alarm
for the running lights on the Motor Vessel Mississippi, U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, Memphis District. This panel mounts light control and alarm panel
shall be specifically designed for use with marine application. Each lamp
control module continuously monitors the lamps for failure or wire breakage,
even while the lamp is turned off. The power select module contains front
replaceable fuses and a switch to select the primary or secondary power sou
rce, or to turn the panel off. Dimming control shall also be provided for night
viewing. The system shall be configured to function from dual 120 Vac power
sources, with 120V / 60 W navigation lights. The system shall be suitable for
use on ABS/Lloyds/DNV certified vessels. The system will include: a. ten Lamp
Control Modules for control and monitoring dual or single lamp fixtures. b. one
Type PMS Power Select Module. c. one blank faceplate to cover unused module
position. d. one flush enclosure 15 H by 7 W by 6.25 D. e. one hardware
mounting kit. SPARE PARTS. One set of basic spare part consisting of equipment
fuses. SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION: Three instruction manuals with connection,
programming, operating, and troubleshooting sections. Vessel specific syste m
connection diagrams shall be included. The Navigation and Light Control and
Alarm shall be a PMC TYPE 8010 SERIES 2000 NAVIGATION LIGHT CONTROL PANEL OR
EQUAL. This action is a 100% set-aside for small businesses. The associated
NAICS Code is 334511 wi th a size of 750 employees. The solicitation will be
posted on or about February 2, 2008, at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi-

number, click on the solicitation number, at the bo ttom for the next screen

up. The offer due date is February 8, 2008 @ 01:00 p.m. central standard time.
