View Offers to Buy: Equipment - Laser Cutting
NASA/JSC has a requirement for a two-year service agreement for an Accuscribe Laser System, to include quarterly and annual onsite, maintenance visits and servicing. The service is to include quarterly checks/adjustments/cleaning of: laser energy, system optics, objective lens, safety interlocks, XYZ stage drives and chuck, gas/vacuum valve operation, camera, LED illumination level, and replacement of water in chiller. Annual services include: replacement of second and third harmonic generators, laser diode, filters, wafer chuck and objective lens, as necessary. NASA/JSC intends to purchase the service from New Wave Research. New Wave Research is the manufacturer of the Accuscribe Laser System, the only commercially-available laser of its kind, and is the only responsible source uniquely qualified to service the equipment and provide replacement parts as needed. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on June 19, 2006. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
