The subject requirement is for acquisition of 1 NSN for the various end items.
This proposed procurement includes an item within the Federal Supply Class
4730. See Note(s): 1, 9, and 26. The requirement will result in an award of
a Long Term Contract for which delivery orders may be placed for one basic and
up to three option (3) years which will be priced based on an economic price
adjustment clause. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on or
about 30 January 2008 at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/RFP/. The scope of this
contract includes the acquisition of a 3 B code and part number item. This
AMSC code implies that the drawings are source controlled. The 1 AMC code
implies that the parts procured under this NSN are candidates for full and open
competition. The delivery for this acquisition will be on an FOB Destination
basis. The inspection/acceptance on these items will be with origin
inspection. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract
period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total
duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 4 years. While price may be
a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will
be based upon a combination of price, delivery, and past performance evaluation
factors as described in the solicitation. This solicitation will be issued as
a 100% Small Business Set Aside.
