66 -- Coastal Acoustic Release Transponder (OB1779835) (2005-12-20)

The National Ocean Service (NOS), Field Operations Division, Chesapeake,
Virginia has a requirement for 8 each Model CART Coastal Acoustic Release
Transponder F3 P/N A980168-003 or equal; 8 each CART Tandem Assembly for use
with 2 each CART releases P/N B980229 or equal; 1 each CART Spares for 8
systems or equal, includes 8 release links, 16 anodes (8 of each size), 4
welded battery packs, 8 complete O-ring sets, 1 chain and link assembly
tandem, 1 heavy ring tandem assembly and 1 set of assorted closure hardware.
RFQ will include Options to purchase up to 8 additional CART Releases of Item
1 and up to 4 additional CART Tandem Assembly of Item 2 at the same or better
price. Delivery of Items 1, 2 and 3 to be 45 days after receipt of order.
Period of performance for the entire purchase order is from February 1, 2006,
or date of award, whichever is later, thru January 31, 2007. All equipment
shall be in accordance with detailed specifications to be provided with the
RFQ. This acquisition will be issued as an RFQ; set aside 100% for small
businesses and awarded as a firm-fixed price order under simplified
acquisition procedures. All responsible sources may submit a quote which
shall be considered by the agency. To be eligible for award, offerors must be
registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR): www.ccr.gov and
obtain (and provide with the offer) a DUNS number by calling 1-800-333-0505.
The FSC for this is 6695 and the NAICS Code is 334511, small business size
standard is 750 employees. No Defense Priorities and Allocations System
(DPAS) rating assigned. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on
