Request for quotation will be issued to Satellink, Inc. The anticipated
contract type will be firm fixed price and anticipated award date is 22 June
2007. This item is restricted to Satellink, Inc. CAGE Code 9V670. Satellink
Inc. is the only Low Noise Amplifies ( LNA) that has been tested and fielded
with the Air Defense and Airspace Management (ADAM). Satellink, Inc. is the
only supply source for this particular part. Satellinks Dual Channel Ultra
High Frequency Low Noise Amplifies (UHF LNA) has the required ga in (40db)
that meets the configuration and design of the (ADAM). The TOCs/AMDCCS
Project Office conducted a market research utilizing the internet. There are
other manufacturers of LNAs; however, this office did not find another product
that met the Gove rnment needs. Additionally, those product characteristics
were slightly different because the Government requires installed connector
caps. Normal LNAs are not assembled with chains and connector caps.
Satellink Inc. is an ISO 9001 registered company sp ecializing in the design,
manufacture, and repair of radio frequency (RF) and microwave amplifiers,
frequency converters and special receivers. All offerors must meet
qualification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that
recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to
identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall
be considered by the Agency. See number note 22 is revised as follows: The
proposed contract action is for suppl ies or services for which the Government
intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of
FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to
respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not
a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received with
fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by
the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this
proposed c ontract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the
discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be
considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a
competitive procurement.
