" VTC COLI- STREP is a water- soluble powder combination of penicillin, streptomycin, Zinc Bacitracin and Colistin.

Penicillin G acts mainly bactericidal against Gram- positive bacteria like Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Pasteurella, Corynebacterium, Bacillus and Clostridia.

Streptomycin belongs to the group of amino- glycosides.

It has a synergetic effect on penicillins, so both products can be combined at lower, less toxic levels.

Zinc Bacitracin is a kind of new antibacterial feed additive holds stable potency.

As a complex compound of fermentation product of Bacillus Licheniformin and Zinc Ion, Zinc Bacitracin is mainly used to control germs growth and promote animal’s growth.

Colistin is a cyclic polypeptide antibiotic and has a bactericidal action against selected Gram- negative bacteria.

The first bacterial effect of colistin is a blockade of the cell division of bacteria, followed by a secondary progressive lysis.

Susceptible bacteria are Aerobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp.

, Shigella spp.

, Haemophilus spp.

, Pasteurella spp.

, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Vibrio spp.

and paracolon bacteria ( MIC values < 5 mcg/ ml) .

Some Pseudomonas species may be primary resistant.

Colistin sulphate is hardly absorbed after oral administration ( less than 1 % of the administered dose) and therefore remains active only in the gastrointestinal tract.

Indication:

" Increases egg production & hatchability

Improves feed efficiency & weight gain

Stabilizes intestinal flora favorably & reduces the mortality & mobility

Has a particular action against mycoplasma gallisepticum, which is implicated in the complex chronic respiratory disease ( CRD) & infectious e- coli sinusitis in turkey, layer and broiler.
