Dibutyl sebacate can be used as cold resistant plasticizer

and softener for synthetic rubber

Besides sebacic acid, we also can produce dibutyl sebacate.

Dibutyl sebacate is colorless transparent oily liquid

without smell.

Its melting point is 205��C.

The boiling

point is 344-345��C, and freezing point of -10��C.

It

can be soluble in ethanol, ether and acetone, but insoluble

in water.
