Application

Dimethyldichlorosilane is mainly used to make dimethylsilyl ether oil, silicone rubber and silicone resin.

(1) As a raw material for organic silicon compounds containing silicon functional group structures, such as trimethylalkoxysilane, hexamethyldisiloxane, hexamethyldisilazane, trimethylcyanosilane, etc.

(2) As a protecting group for functional groups such as hydroxyl, carboxyl and amino groups, trimethylchlorosilane is an excellent reagent for introducing trimethylsilyl groups into organic molecules.

The reaction yield of connecting and removing trimethylsilyl groups is high, the conditions are mild and the application range is wide.

Therefore, it is widely used in organic synthesis.

(3) Widely used in gas chromatography analysis of biochemical samples.

Silylated derivatives are obtained by reacting certain biochemical samples with trimethylchlorosilane.
