It has the properties of thickening, binding, dispersing, emulsifying, film-forming, suspending, adsorbing, gelling, surface-active, retaining moisture and protecting colloids.
Because the aqueous solution has surface active
function, it can be used as colloid protective agent, emulsifier and dispersant.
