Applications:

Aluminum fluoride is used as auxiliary ingredient of electrolyte during the production of electrolytic aluminum to decrease the melting point and increase the conductivity of electrolyte.

Also, it is a flux for non-ferrous metal, as a zymotic inhibitor in the alcohol and essential oil production and as a fusing assistant for ceramic, enamel and the component of glaze.
