Rosin Pentaerythrite Resin is the product of esterification of
rosin with pentaerythrite.
It's a transparent irregular solid
after vacuum treatment.
It can soluble in tar, ester,
turpentine oil and similar solvents; insoluble in alcoholic
solvents; partially soluble in petroleum products; mix well
with vegetable oils; light colored; resistant to yellowing;
heat resistant; highly adhesive.
It is widely used for ester
glue phenolic resin paints (through polymerization with
vegetable oils); widely used in glue industry as low cost
enhancer for hot-melt, pressure-sensitive and other types of
adhesives.
