Aramid fibers are a class of heat- resistant and strong synthetic
fibers.
They are widely used in aerospace and military applications, for
ballistic- rated body armor fabric and ballistic composites, in bicycle
tires as an asbestos substitute.
Combined with the characteristics of
high tensile strength- to- weight ratio, it is 5 times stronger than
steel, 2.5 times than glass fiber, and so it is considered to be one of
the strongest fibers in the world and widly used in military area,
personal protection, sports, musical area and so on.
