PUR for Edge Banding

Edge banding adhesive is a type of glue used in furniture manufacturing and woodworking to bond edge banding materials (such as PVC, ABS, wood veneer, or melamine) to the edges of panels (such as particleboard, MDF, or plywood).

It enhances the appearance, durability, and moisture resistance of the finished product.

Edge Banding with Hot-Melt Adhesives

PUR is a one-component, moisture-curing reactive adhesive.

After initial hot-melt application, it continues to cross-link with ambient moisture over 24 hours, forming a permanent 3D molecular structure.

The result: a thinner, near-invisible glue line, stronger heat/water resistance, and a bond that will not re-soften — making it the standard choice wherever furniture will face steam, heat, or repeated cleaning.

Our 803 series includes different viscosities, open times and processing temperature ranges to match different edge banding machines, production speeds and workshop conditions.
