GCL padding is mostly applied in waste landfill in environmental

project, underground reservoir and underground infrastructure, to

address the sealing, isolation, seepage protection issues, with strong

damage resistance.

Features:

Compaction: Sodium bentonite forms high density diaphragm with water pressure, when thickness is

3mm, the permeability is below α×10-11m/sec, equivalent to the compaction of 30cm thick clay that is

100 times thicker.

It has excellent self water preservation performance.

With permanent waterproofing performance: As sodium bentonite is natural inorganic material, even after

long time or in case of change in peripheral environment, there won’t be ageing or corrosion, so the water

proofing performance is durable.

Simple construction, short schedule: Compared with other waterproofing material, the construction is

rather simple, no need to heat or adhere.

It only takes bentonite powder and nail, gasket for connection

and fastening, and no special inspection is needed after construction.

It’s also easy to repair if

waterproofing defect is identified.

GCL has the shortest construction cycle among all the existing

waterproofing materials.

Not subject to the temperature impact, it won’t be bristled and break in cold weather.

Integration of waterproofing material and target: When sodium bentonite reacts with water, it has

expansion capacity of 13~16 times, even there is concrete structure vibration and settlement, the

bentonite within GCL can repair the crack on concrete surface within 2mm.

to human, and without special impact on environment.
