Supply range of our M2 Hss bars:

- Round bar: 8mm to 300mm, black surface, peeled or ground finish;

- Flat bar and plate: thickness 10mm to 200mm, width up to 610mm;

- Blocks, sheets and custom-cut sections sawn to your drawings;

- Delivery condition: annealed (hardness max HB255), forged, pre-hardened, or rough machined on request.

Key properties of our M2 Hss:

1 - Chemical composition: C 0.78-0.88%, Cr 3.75-4.50%, Mo 4.50-5.50%, W 5.50-6.75%, V 1.75-2.20%;

2 - Hardness after quenching and tempering: HRC 62-64, with excellent red hardness up to 600 C;

3 - Fine and uniformly distributed carbides from ESR refining for superior polishability;

4 - Good dimensional stability during heat treatment with minimal distortion.

Typical applications of M2 Hss:

Twist drills, end mills, taps and dies, reamers, saw blades, broaches, hobs, thread rolling dies, punches, cold forming dies and other high performance cutting and forming tools.

Quality is guaranteed: every heat is verified by spectrometer chemical analysis; bars are ultrasonic tested per SEP 1921; hardness and microstructure are checked before packing.

Mill test certificates with heat numbers are provided with every shipment, and third-party inspection is welcome.
