La Fibra Vulcanizada, un material muy duro, denso y homogéneo con espesor hasta .

Posteriormente el diámetro exterior es acabado, rectificado a dimensiones y pulido.
El diámetro exterior puede también ser moleteado para ser usado en embobinado de tubos de filamento de vidrio para fusibles.
