Working Principle

Chillers operate via a vapor-compression refrigeration cycle: Evaporation: Low-pressure refrigerant absorbs heat from the coolant (e.g., water/glycol mix) in the evaporator.

Compression: A compressor increases refrigerant pressure and temperature.

Condensation: High-pressure gas releases heat to the environment via air-cooled fins or water-cooled towers.

Expansion: The refrigerant expands, lowering its temperature before re-entering the evaporator.

For air-cooled models, fans dissipate heat; water-cooled systems use external cooling towers.
