Product Introduction

STD designs alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) sensors for industrial and automotive applications such as electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), battery electric vehicles (BEVs), and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) using Hall effect technology.

Current sensors allow us to measure the power used by various components, such as motors, which are essential in optimizing motor performance and metrology applications.

Our current sensors track DC and AC currents up to 10kHz with high accuracy and low phase shift.

Bus-mounted current sensors: These sensors are designed for direct installation onto busbars, allowing for the measurement of high currents.

They are available in a range typically from 250 A to 1500 A.

Various customization options are available, such as calibration and analog output ranges, enabling integration into specific systems.

These solutions can achieve measurement accuracy typically up to 1%.

PCB-mounted current sensors: Primarily focused on AC applications, these sensors can be mounted directly onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) or housed in stand-alone mounting packages.

They are available in current ranges typically from 200 A to 1000 A.

Standard current ranges are offered, along with custom-specific calibrations to meet exact application limitations.

These sensors also offer measurement accuracy typically up to 1%.

Clamp-on current sensors: These sensors utilize magnetic field concentrators for non-invasive and isolated current measurement.

Their clamping design allows for easy installation onto existing cables without requiring the electrical circuit to be interrupted or cut.

They are suitable for measuring currents up to 200A.

These sensors are characterized by superior material properties in their ferromagnetic shields, such as high linearity and extremely low hysteresis, contributing to accurate and undisturbed sensing.

Critical sensing systems/Advanced modules: These are more complex sensing modules specifically designed for monitoring multiple critical parameters in highly complex applications.

They provide superior capabilities for accurate measurement in systems where electrical isolation is required.

These systems offer a range of supports, such as optimizing battery charging, improving battery life, promoting high battery capacity, and collectively improving overall system performance, particularly relevant in complex battery management systems in EVs/HEVs.

Core and guard components: These are fundamental components of current sensors.

The magnetic core is used to concentrate magnetic flux generated by the current being measured, while shielding (guard) protects the sensor element from external magnetic fields that could interfere with the measurement.
