The Firing Process
The manufacturing process involves spraying multiple layers of glass slip onto a meticulously prepared steel shell.
The vessel is then fired in a kiln at temperatures exceeding 850°C.
At this thermal peak, the glass melts and chemically bonds with the steel surface, creating a bond strength that exceeds the tensile strength of the glass itself.
This ensures that the lining will not delaminate under pressure or vacuum conditions.
