Description
Introduction to silicon nitride ceramic rings Silicon nitride ceramic rings have low thermal expansion coefficient and high thermal conductivity, so they have excellent thermal shock resistance.
Within a temperature of 1200°C, silicon nitride rings have high strength and impact resistance.
The hot-pressed sintered silicon nitride will not break even if it is put into cold water after being heated to 1000°C.
At temperatures that are not too high, silicon nitride has high strength and impact resistance, but it will be damaged as the use time increases above 1200°C, reducing its strength.
It is more prone to fatigue damage above 1450°C.
Therefore, the operating temperature of Si3N4 generally does not exceed 1300°C.
Application scope of silicon nitride ceramics: rotating ball and roller bearings; Engine parts: valves, rocker arm pads, sealing surfaces; Induction heating coil holder; Turbine blades, blades, buckets; welding and brazing fixtures; Heating element assembly; welding positioner; Precision shafts and bushings in high-wear environments; Thermocouple jackets and tubes; Semiconductor process equipment.
