A gravimetric blender is an item of industrial equipment used in the plastics industry to accurately weigh two or more components and then mix them together prior to processing in an injection molding machine, plastics extrusion, blow moulding machine.
If the materials are in the optical industry, such as PC, PMMA, etc., the standard XGB shell cannot be selected, and the parts in contact with the raw materials require special treatment.
There are two types of gravimetric blenders: 1 - Loss in weight usually used in plastic injection or extrusion; 2 - Gain in weight (sometimes called a batch blender, usually used in pellets industry)
