Large diameter flanged suction hoses are heavy-duty flexible hoses characterized by their customized large inner diameter and integrated flange connections at both ends.

Characteristics 1 - Large Diameter Design

Typically defined as hoses with an inner diameter of 4’ inches (100 mm) and above, with common specifications ranging from 6 inches (150 mm) to 60 inches (1500 mm) (or even larger size) for heavy-duty applications.

This large diameter enables maximum flow rates, minimizing pumping time and operational costs for bulk fluid transfer tasks.

The diameter tolerance is strictly controlled within ±1% to ensure compatibility with standard flanged equipment.

Sealing Assurance The flange sealing surface is precision-machined with high surface finish, ensuring zero-leakage sealing even under high vacuum or high-pressure conditions.

3 - Multi-Layer Reinforced Structure

Constructed with a multi-layer composite structure to withstand harsh working environments:

● Inner Liner: Made of nitrile rubber (NBR) for oil resistance, EPDM for chemical resistance, or PVC for cost-effective general use; the inner surface is smooth to reduce fluid friction and prevent sediment buildup.

● Reinforcement Layers: Polyester cord fabric with high-tensile helix steel wire provide radial rigidity, preventing hose collapse under negative pressure (vacuum resistance up to -0.9 bar) and enhancing burst pressure resistance.

● Outer Cover: Wear-resistant, NR, CR and normally with PVC wrapped to protect against abrasion, weathering, and chemical corrosion during outdoor or construction site use.

4 - Flexibility and Durability

Despite their large diameter, the hoses maintain excellent flexibility, allowing easy routing around obstacles and installation in confined spaces.

They exhibit good fatigue resistance, withstanding over 10, 000 flex cycles without cracking or delamination.
