1 - Use the protective padding or stockinet on the fixed part.

2 - Wear surgical gloves.

3 - Before opening the package, select the roll of proper size.

4 - Immerse the fiberglass orthopedic casting tape in room temperature water (21-24℃) for 4- 6 seconds and squeeze it 2-3 times to complete penetration of water into the body of the roll.

The higher the water temperature is the faster cast hardens.

5 - Wrap spirally, overlapping the previous layer by one-half or two-thirds the width of the roll.

Keep the proper tension and take care to avoid excessive tightness.

Just 3- -4 layers provide a strong non-weight-bearing cast and 5-6 layers are typically adequate for weight-bearing cast.

6 - After water soak the fiberglass orthopedic casting tape begins to solidify in 3-5 minutes and can bear weigh enough in 20 minutes.

Generally the operation will be finished in 3 minutes.

Smooth and rub the surface to achieve good contact between layers It needs to be avoided excessive action within 10 minutes to be made the bes stiffness before fully hardened.

7 Cast removal: cutting by an electric cast saw.
