- Silicon ~1.0% – added strength and oxidation resistance at temperature.

The combined carbide-former content (~7%) is deliberately moderate, producing a fine, low-carbide-heterogeneity structure — a clear advantage over high-alloy grades where carbide segregation limits toughness .
