Grade Compliance & Equivalents:

ASTM M2 cutting tool steel is produced to ASTM A600 and corresponds to DIN 1.3343, JIS SKH51 and GB W6Mo5Cr4V2 - Its tungsten-molybdenum chemistry creates a dense network of hard M6C and MC carbides inside a tough matrix.

Hardened at 1190-1230°C and triple tempered at 540-560°C, it achieves HRC 62-64 with the red hardness and abrasion resistance that cutting tools demand at high machining speeds.

Round Bar & Plate Options:

- Round bar: Ø6mm – Ø300mm, rolled or forged

- Plate: 5-160mm thick, up to 610mm wide

- Length: 2m – 5.8m, cut-to-size service available

- Condition: annealed (HB255 max) or hardened & tempered (HRC62-64)
