Production Iso 41cr4 Alloy Bars Drilling Process - China

ISO 41Cr4 alloy bars are a commonly used structural alloy steel with excellent overall mechanical properties.

Drilling Procedure

1 - Punch Point Positioning: Mark the center of the hole on the ISO 41Cr4 alloy bars.

Use a punch to create a small indentation at the mark to facilitate accurate drill alignment.

2 - Pre-Drilling: Use a small-diameter drill bit (e.g., 3mm) to drill a shallow hole approximately 5mm deep at the punch point to guide subsequent drilling.

3 - Drilling: Replace the drill bit with the desired hole diameter and adjust the drill speed according to the drill diameter.

Follow the principle of "double the drill diameter, halve the speed.

" For example, a Φ10mm drill bit has a speed of approximately 400 rpm.

Maintain a steady feed rate during drilling, using a microfeed of 0.1mm/rpm for the first 5mm.

4 - Chip Removal and Cooling: Retract the drill bit every 5mm or so to clear chips.

5 - Drilling through the hole: Continue drilling until the ISO 41Cr4 alloy bars is drilled through.

After drilling through, slowly withdraw the drill bit to avoid staying in the hole for too long, which will cause heat accumulation.
