What is Cold Forming Aluminum Foil? Cold forming aluminum foil is a high-barrier laminated material used in pharmaceutical packaging.

It is composed of multiple layers of different films through a lamination process, with the core layer being O-temper (soft) aluminum foil.

This structure provides excellent deep-drawing performance.

Structure of Cold Forming Aluminum Foil A typical cold forming aluminum foil has three layers:

Nylon (OPA) layer: Outer layer, provides excellent ductility and abrasion resistance, protecting the aluminum foil core.

Aluminum (AL) layer: Middle layer, the core of the structure, offering nearly 100% barrier properties against water, oxygen, and light.

PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) layer: Inner layer, directly contacts the medicine, providing good heat-sealing performance for blister sealing with PTP lidding foil.
