Quality1.4307 (also called ASTM 304/ 304L – SS2333) is a general purpose stainless steel, called 18-8-steel, with good corrosion resistant, impact strength and formability.
304L grade is a version of 304 quality stainless steel with a carbon content of less than 0.03%.
304L instead of 304 quality, 304L quality 304 quality stainless material is no objection to use.
1.4307 is a stainless steel which usually is more difficult to machine than ordinary carbon steels.
Quality1.4307 stainless steel plates and sheets can be readily welded by a full range of conventional welding methods.
1.4307 cannot be hardened by heat treatment, but it can be hardened by cold working.
