1.2344 is the German material number for the classic Cr-Mo-V hot work tool steel, identical in family to AISI H13, JIS SKD61 and GB 4Cr5MoSiV1 - Songshun keeps a ready inventory of 1.2344 steel in all standard sections, melted through EAF + LF + ESR and delivered with complete certification for European-standard toolrooms and foundries.

Material strengths:

- Very good hot strength and tempering resistance up to 600°C

- Excellent thermal fatigue and heat checking resistance for die casting duty

- High toughness and polishability after secondary hardening

- Dimensionally stable in heat treatment with low distortion Chemical composition: C 0.36-0.42% | Si 0.9-1.2% | Mn 0.3-0.5% | Cr 4.8-5.5% | Mo 1.1-1.5% | V 0.9-1.1% Supply program:

- Round bar dia 8-500mm (black, turned, ground)

- Flat bar and plate 6-400mm thickness, cut to size

- Conditions: annealed max 229 HB, pre-hardened 38-44 HRC, Q&T on request

- Equivalent designations: AISI H13, JIS SKD61, UNS T20813, GB 4Cr5MoSiV1 Typical tooling: die casting dies and cores, extrusion dies and holders, hot forging dies, hot shear blades, and high-polish plastic mold frames.
