1 - Excellent thermal fatigue resistance and resistance to thermal cracking (a key pain point in die-casting)
Die-casting cycle: Filling with high-temperature molten metal followed by rapid water cooling; the mold cavity repeatedly withstands severe thermal shock.
- Cr-Mo-V composite alloy system balances thermal conductivity and toughness, making it resistant to surface network-like thermal cracking;
- Zinc alloy casting temperatures range from 380–430°C and aluminum alloys from 600–680°C; this steel retains stable high-temperature hardness at 600°C, resisting surface peeling and cracking during long-term cycling;
- ESR (Electroslag Remelting) ensures extremely low inclusion levels and uniform hardness in large mold cores with strong isotropy, significantly reducing premature failure due to edge chipping or cracking.

For automotive and 3C structural components (e.g., A380, ADC12 alloys), this steel serves as a preferred upgrade to H13 (4Cr5MoSiV1); it withstands high-temperature erosion, achieving a service life of 100, 000–300, 000 shots;
High-wear components such as shot sleeves, spreader cones, and cores can all be manufactured using this steel series.
