Key Welding Techniques:

1 - Welding is generally performed in the annealed (normalized) state.

2 - The welding method is not restricted.

3 - Use a high heat input and appropriately increase the preheat temperature.

Generally, the preheat temperature and interpass temperature can be controlled between 250°C and 300°C.

4 - When welding ISC A20402 material, ensure that the composition of the deposited metal is essentially the same as that of the base material, such as J107-Cr.

5 - After welding, ISC A20402 material should be promptly tempered.

If timely tempering is difficult, perform an intermediate anneal or hold the material at a temperature higher than the preheat temperature for a period of time to remove diffusible hydrogen and soften the structure.

For products with complex structures and a large number of welds, perform an intermediate anneal after completing a certain number of welds.

(670±10)°C x 2h, furnace heating, (710±10)°C x 2h, furnace cooling, (670±10)°C x 2h, furnace heating, (710±10)°C x 2h, furnace cooling, (670±10)°C x 2h, furnace heating, (710±10)°C x 2h, furnace cooling, (670±10)°C x 2h, furnace heating, (710±10)°C x 2h, furnace cooling, for a total of 3 cycles.

The temperature is then lowered to 550°C, removed from the furnace, and air-cooled.

The post-treatment hardness is 153 HBS.

Delivery Condition

ISC A20402 material is delivered with or without heat treatment (normalizing, annealing, or high-temperature tempering).

The delivery condition should be specified in the contract.
