New Surface Treatment Process For 30cr Material Improve Service Life - China

There are many new surface treatment processes for 30Cr material.

The following are some common ones: Gas nitriding: This process first tempers the 30Cr material (quenching and tempering).

The cleaned workpiece is then placed in a nitriding furnace.

While the temperature is rising, pure C₂Cl₄ liquid or NH₄Cl powder is sprayed in as a film-breaking agent to continuously remove the passive film on the workpiece surface.

The furnace temperature is raised to 400°C and held for 60 minutes.

The temperature is then raised to 500-550°C and held for 30-35 hours, followed by cooling.

This process produces a nitrided layer with a core hardness greater than 32 HRC and no surface defects such as bulges or pits.

The nitrided layer can be 0.15-0.2mm thick and uniform, reducing process time and costs.

Vacuum titanium plating: Using relevant technologies in a vacuum environment, a titanium coating is applied to the surface of the 30Cr material.

For example, a small kitchen knife made of 30Cr13 stainless steel can form a hard, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant coating after vacuum titanium plating, which not only improves the appearance, but also prevents the blade from rusting and discoloration, thereby increasing the service life of the tool.
