1)Overview: Washover shoe is a special annular milling tool

installed at the lower part of the washover pipe to clean

deposits within the drill string and the annular space of

the well.

It was led into the well by the washover pipe to

clean the sediment, rock debris and metallic lump around the

jammed string through constant rotation.

The string will be

finally pulled out owing to such operation.

2) Structure: It can be classified into flat milling shoe

and geared milling shoe according to its utility ends.

There

is also wavy milling shoe specially for washover stabilizer

and hard and thick-wall alloy milling shoe.
