4 - Functions

Brucite powders with or without coating

belong to the class of non-halogen,

smokeless, no leaked, no toxicity fire

retardant.

4.1 Brucite is ideally suited as a fire

retardant for rubber and plastic in general

and in particular used by industries

operating in the field of plastic coatings

for all kind of electric apparatus.

It is

also widely used in PP.

PE.

PS.

PC.

ABS.

EVA.

PVC, EPDM and etc.

It also can be used in such kinds of

engineering plastic as PBT, PA in conditions

of high temperature.

4.2 Brucite can be mixed with many other

kinds of fire retardants to achieve finished

products with very good retardant performance

and of smokeelimination.

It is suitable for wires, cables, electric

apparatus, building

material, glass fiber, and so on.

The use of 50% magnesium hydroxide in

replacement of hydrogen alumina in the PVC

and rubber, dramatically improves the smoke

elimination function as well as the rate of

oxygen.
