Application Field:

1 - In modern airplanes, composite materials account for approximately 50% of the total weight.

Some of these products replace plaster casts, while other ones like e.g. orthoses have a supporting and/or fixing function.

8 - Rotor blades and nacelles for wind generation are based on composites manufactured from resin compatible E-Glass yarns.

Fiberglass composite components allow high strength at a low weight, so that longer and more efficient rotor blades for larger wind turbines can be manufactured in a cost effective way.
