Plastic Injection Molding Companies - China

Now the gears in my head have shifted again to the topic of plastic

injection molding machine calibration.

My career in plastics has spanned

well over 20 years, all of it in injection molded medical device

manufacturing.

Obviously, maintaining current calibration of equipment

is critical to insuring that any process remains in a validated state.

Virtually all injection molding machine manufacturers will state that

their equipment is capable of maintaining pressures and speeds to set

point, for example, within X% , depending on design.

So, it is possible

that particular injection molding machine has drifted off target due to

some unknown reason.

Perhaps actual injection pressure is not within

tolerance of the set pressure.

Same goes for injection velocity, screw

speed, back pressure, etc.

As I had mentioned in an earlier, just

because something is set to a particular value does not mean the

equipment is actually operating that way.

Hopefully injection molding

company has in place a good P.

program to keep all his equipment

running as designed.

  What can I suggestion is, you can try to use high speed plastic injection molding machine with special small Nozzle Dia.
  
  screw and try to run as fast as possible, and normally special product need to custom make or design the manifold, unless the plastic injection mold is using standard manifold, shot weight not consider when injection mold make.

  Bruno would like to know what the record is for a 1000 ton change time and if it could be done in 10 min or less.
  
  There is a big difference between injection mold change and last part to first good part.
  
  It is nice to see all the sales folks jumping on the blog and trying to get a sale.
  
  I would think it a no brainer that the larger the plastic injection molding machine and the faster the change time to more costly the system and the longer time to pay for the investment in the automation.
