China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. (ci-après dénommée « SINOTRUK »), anciennement connue sous le nom d’Usine Générale de Fabrication Automobile de Jinan, a été fondée en 1930 - Elle est considérée comme le berceau de l’industrie des poids lourds en Chine.

En 1960, elle a produit le tout premier camion lourd chinois, le Yellow River JN150 de 8 tonnes, marquant la fin de la dépendance chinoise à l’égard des véhicules importés.

Le 4 mai 1960, le Président Mao Zedong a visité Jinan et loué le prototype.

Le 11 janvier 1966, le Président Zhu De a personnellement inscrit le nom « Huanghe » (Yellow River).
