1 - previously to the ambient temperature and sanitary conditions for the conditions of the helmet, should be placed on the appropriate head shape and fixed in the appropriate head.

2 - In the median vertical plane of the helmet, a device that guides and releases the fall with a total mass of 3 kg ± 0.1 kg is attached to the rear of the shell.

3 - 10 kg ± 0.01 kg of falling mass is released and lowered from a height of 0.5 m ± 0.01 m.

The guiding device should ensure that the impact velocity is not less than 95% of the theoretical velocity.
