1 - Quenching and tempering: Quenching and tempering is to heat the steel under appropriate temperature and insulation conditions to make it reach a certain hardness and toughness.

For aisi 5120H steel, the commonly used quenching and tempering method is quenching + tempering.

Quenching is to heat the steel to above Ac3 temperature and then cool it quickly; tempering is to heat the steel to an appropriate temperature after quenching and then keep it warm for a period of time.

Through quenching and tempering, the hardness of aisi 5120H steel can reach above HRC50 and the toughness can reach above 20J/cm².

2 - Aging treatment: Aging treatment is to improve the strength and stability of aisi 5120H steel.

During the aging treatment process, the steel is heated under appropriate temperature and insulation conditions to make the carbide distribution inside it more stable, thereby improving the strength and wear resistance of the steel.
