High Quality 735a50 Steel Heat Treatment Process - China

Heat treatment is crucial for maximizing the performance of 735A50 steel and requires process adjustments based on the application: Annealing: Slow cooling at 720–750℃, achieving a hardness ≤220 HBW and optimizing the machinability of 735A50 steel.

Quenching: Oil or air cooling at 820–880℃, forming a martensitic structure and achieving a hardness of 56–62 HRC.

Tempering: Low-temperature tempering (150–300℃) is dominant, balancing the hardness and toughness of 735A50 steel.

Medium-temperature tempering (400–500℃) achieves a yield strength ≥1100 MPa and elongation ≥10%, achieving the optimal balance between elasticity and toughness.
