Mechanical Properties

After heat treatment, UNS G52986 sheet can achieve a hardness of Rockwell C 60-66 HRC.

Its ultimate tensile strength ranges from 800-2550 MPa.

Its elongation is 10%-20%, and its impact toughness is at least 200 J/cm².

Its elastic modulus is approximately 190-210 GPa.

- Alloying Elements: Manganese and silicon contribute to the steel's toughness, while chromium reduces carbide size and makes the structure more uniform, thereby improving toughness.

- Heat Treatment: Appropriate heat treatment processes, such as annealing, can relieve internal stresses and soften the steel, while tempering can improve toughness while maintaining hardness.

Production Process: After carefully selected and blended raw materials, they are melted in an electric arc furnace or induction furnace.
