Jis Sncm220 Round Bar Excellent Performance - China

High hardenability: The addition of nickel (Ni) and molybdenum (Mo) significantly improves hardenability, enabling the JIS SNCM220 round bar core to achieve a uniform martensitic structure after carburizing.

Even with larger diameters (e.g., φ100mm and above), the core hardness remains at HRC 30-40 - Surface wear resistance: After carburizing, the surface carbon content can reach 0.8%-1.0%, forming high-hardness martensite (HRC 58-62) after quenching.

Combined with retained austenite and carbides, this significantly improves the wear resistance of the JIS SNCM220 round bar.

Core toughness: The medium carbon content (0.17%-0.23%) and the synergistic effect of alloying elements result in a low-carbon martensite or tempered sorbite core structure, possessing both strength and toughness, and excellent impact resistance.

Fatigue resistance: The addition of nickel refines the grains and reduces the initiation of fatigue cracks; molybdenum improves tempering stability, prevents softening during high-temperature tempering, and extends the fatigue life of JIS SNCM220 round bar.
