Outstanding Gb 42crmo Steel Round Bar Strict Forging Process - China

GB 42CrMo steel round bar is forged by upsetting and drawing the steel billet for many times from different directions, and the "two light and one heavy" forging method is adopted, that is, the billet should be struck lightly at the beginning of forging to prevent breakage, and it can be struck heavily at the intermediate temperature of 980-1 020 ℃ to ensure the crushing of carbides.

GB 42CrMo steel round bar is not forged, and solid solution double refinement treatment is adopted, that is, two-stage preheating at about 500 ℃ and 800 ℃, solid solution treatment at 1 100-1 150 ℃, quenching in hot oil or isothermal quenching, high temperature tempering at 750 ℃, heating at 960 ℃ and oil cooling after machining for final heat treatment, which can also refine carbides, round edges and corners, and refine grains.
