Z40CDV5 Steel - The French Hot Work Grade for Demanding Die Applications Z40CDV5 steel (AFNOR designation, matching DIN 1.2344, AISI H13, JIS SKD61 and GB 4Cr5MoSiV1) is the Cr-Mo-V hot work tool steel long specified by European toolmakers for die casting, extrusion and hot forging tooling.
